  EMC From Laplace

Probes and Detectors

Laplace offers a wide range of sniffer probes, diagnostic probes,  EMI detectors, and ESD event monitors.

RF probes

Scan EM Active wide bandwidth non-contact voltage and current probes.
Scan EM-Q The only tool your QA inspectors need is the ScanEM-Q probe kit.
EM-Alert EMAlert modules installed inside of critical equipment can continuously monitor emission level.
Active-EM Active remote broadband sensors models CTC112 (radiated emission - E-field) and CTC116 (conducted emission).
RF100 Passive E and H field Near field probes.
SD255 Converts scope into an effective and sensitive Spectrum analyser. The SD 255 covers the range 30KHz to 2.5MHz.

RF Field Meters

EMEYE Measures field strength, power density and amplitude modulation.
Broadband Meter The perfect solution for the monitoring / measurement of RF pollution.
Digital Power Meter Accurate measurement of RF power.
EM-Aware ESD Event Monitors can reliably detect any relevant ESD event in both polarities.
MicroAlert A sensitive RF detector or an alarm to warn of hazardous RF radiation.

  • Near field probes.... broadband, passive RF100.
  • Sniffer probes.... broadband, self contained with audible and LED output. Exceptional sensitivity with adjustable threshold level. Each kit includes H and E field probes.
    • For general bench work in test, inspection and development departments. Type CTK010.
    • For QA and QC checks on manufactured products. Type CTK017.

  • Sniffer probes and RF probes. As above plus RF output to scope or spectrum analyser. Superb flat frequency response to 2GHz. Non-contact technique avoids problems of circuit-under-test loading and consequent modification of signal parameters.
    • Standard model for all general RF probe and EMI investigative work. CTK015.
    • QC model for general evaluation of EMC emissions characteristics of producrs. CTK019.

  • Spectrum Probe, a complete spectrum analyser built into a probe. Output to any conventional ‘scope to provide a high speed spectral display. Sensitive input can be used in non-contact or direct contact modes.
    • SD255, 40KHz to 1MHz frequency range.

  • EM Eye, Electromagnetic Emission finder and Field Strength Meter. A high sensitivity, handheld field strength analyser with highly directional receiving antenna. Has the unique ability to detect emission sources at a distance, to pinpoint them by means of a built-in laser marker, and to measure transmitter power for telecommunications applications.
    • Standard model includes all major facilities CTM041
    • Advanced model includes data logging feature, serial interface and PC software.

  • EMI Detectors. Small (matchbox sized) detectors for the measurement of E or H field radiation. Ideal for the detection of unauthorised emissions, fault conditions, transmitter failure or general ambient monitoring.
    • EM Alert modules. Intelligent modules intended for location close to or inside critical equipment. On detection of potentially dangerous EMI levels will output an alarm and check the operation of the host system, initiating a preset command if necessary
    • Sensor modules. Converts any EMI (radiated or conducted) signal into a AC level output to a 50ohm load. These modules can be networked to cover extended areas.
  • EM Aware ESD Event monitors are placed in the areas where ESD Events are not tolerated. Indication of an ESD event is a sure sign that your ESD-preventive measures need immediate attention.
